Czarina “The Black Rose” McCoy scored her biggest victory to date on Saturday, September 24, to become Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Female World Lightweight champion.

At the Plaza Sendera in Colima, Mexico, 21-year-old McCoy made a statement by stopping Colombian veteran Paulina “La Nina” Cardona (32) in seven rounds.

McCoy, who is from Las Vegas but has boxed exclusively in Mexico as a pro, was sharper in every department against a very experienced opponent who has fought a whos-who of top-names.

The new UBO World Lightweight champion improved her record to 10-1 (3), and also captured the vacant WIBA world title.

Cardona, who as recently as last March went the distance with Prisca Vicot in a fight for the WIBF and GBU World titles at Super Lightweight, drops to 25-28-7 (11).

Broadcast world-wide on Pay-Per-View via InSportsTV, the fight headlined a card promoted by Rios Boxing.
