On a card
staged by Top Rank in Atlantic City, televised by
Fox, Dargan showed his great potential as he
stopped Suazo in the sixth round.
Following
that impressive performance, Dargan went on to
also win IBF regional and NABF titles, in 2013 and
2014 respectively, before he was surprisingly
defeated on points by Canadian Tony Luis (18-2) in
January of 2015.
After that
set-back, Dargan was inactive until returning in
August of 2018. He won two fights that year, but
was then idle for another long spell, only
returning in July of 2021 with a decent win over
Ivan Delgado (13-3-2).
He last
fought on June 4 of this year, shockingly getting
stopped in the first round by Alfredo Santiago
(13-2) in Minneapolis.
Now 37, and
with a 20-2 (10) record, he can still do something
with his career, but its safe to say that things
have not gone according to plan so far. But no
matter what, the night he won the UBO title he
looked every bit a future world champion.
