Cuban-born Italian Giovanni “Nino” Rossetti is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Youth World Middleweight Champion after a genuine breakthrough performance on Friday night, July 29.

At the scenic Castello Aragonese in Taranto, broadcast live by Tele Due, Rossetti faced arguably his best opponent to date in Belgium´s Jan Helin, and put on a scintillating performance.

Rossetti took to the centre of the ring from the first bell, and boxed excellently as he landed cleanly, almost at will, on the tough visitor.

Helin went on the offensive in round two and had some success, but in round three it was all over as Rossetti fired off a wonderful combination, finishing the fight with a right hook to score the knockout.

The new UBO Youth World Champion, still only twenty-one years old, improved his professional record to 10-1 (3) and clearly has a bright future in the ring if he stays the course.

Helin, also just twenty-one, is stopped for the first time and drops to 9-3 (6), but the four-time Belgian amateur champion has plenty of time to rebound.

The fight was promoted by Promo Boxe Italia.
