German Wonderboy Fights For UBO Youth Title May 14

19-year-old undefeated Wonderboy Tom Roestel (5-0, 5 KOs) will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Youth World Middleweight title on May 14 at the Buergerhaus in Espelkamp, Germany.

 
 

On a card which also features Riza Baydilli vs. Georgios Bitzenis for the UBO International Heavyweight title, the teenage prodigy will face fellow German Mirko Koenig (3-0, 2 KOs).


Roestel turned pro in June of 2019, still only sixteen at the time, fighting as a Featherweight. He has since grown significantly, and have now settled in the Middleweight division.


In his most recent outing, last July, Roestel won the UBF European Welterweight title, stopping experienced Georgian Bato Berkatsashvili in the fourth round of a fight in Turkey.


 
 

Now he will be up against his first unbeaten opponent (not counting two debutants), a guy who is a full-fledged Middleweight, and, as the saying goes, “someone's O has got to go”.
