Tanzanian star Twaha Kassim won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Super Middleweight title in clear fashion on Saturday night, March 26.

In front of a loud and lively crowd at the Tanzanite Hall in his home-town of Morogoro, Kassim scored a wide unanimous decision over South Africa-based Congolese Alex Kabangu.

Kassim was the better man in most rounds, while Kabangu appeared a step behind while always trying his best to change the momentum of the bout.

In the end there was no doubt about who would get his hands raised, as judges Abdallah Neneko and Omari Yazidu scored it 80-72 and judge Anthony Ruta scored it 79-73, all for Kassim.

Kassim, who held the UBO All-Africa title at Super Welterweight in 2018, took his professional record to 19-8-1 (8), while Kabangu travels back to Johannesburg at a misleading 5-4-3 (2).

Televised in Tanzania by Azam TV, the fight was promoted by Peak Time Media.
