In a
remarkable career, “El Vasco” Saucedo has held
numerous titles, including WBC Silver, IBF, WBC
and WBO Latino titles, besides South America and
Argentina national honours.
This will
be his fourth opportunity to win a world title,
having lost a decision to Indonesian icon Chris
John for the WBA World Featherweight title, a
decision to Rances Bathelemy for the IBF World
Super Featherweight title, and by tenth round
stoppage to Emmanuel Tagoe for the IBO World
Lightweight title.
By far
the most experienced opponent that Puerto
Rico-born Echevarria has faced, Saucedo is
coming off a victory and will be determined to
make the most of what could be his last chance
to become a world champion.

“The
Holy Fire” Echevarria won the UBO world title last
August when he edged former IBF World Champion
Rodrigo Guerrero in Atlanta. Only two months later
he retained his crown, out-pointing Jerome
Conquest at the same venue where he will face
Saucedo, The Venue at Coosa Landing in Gadsden.
The
Echevarria vs. Saucedo UBO World Lightweight title
fight will be promoted by One One Six Promotions,
headlining a massive card featuring several
interesting undercard bouts.
