Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Latino Super Flyweight Champion Josue Morales (20-12-4, 5 KOs) from Houston, Texas, will be back in action on January 21, fighting for the vacant UBO International title.

In the first fight of his 2022 campaign, “El Zurdo De Oro” (The Golden Southpaw) will face Colombia´s former IBF world title-challenger Jose Antonio Jimenez (21-14-1, 9 KOs).

And just like he did when he won the UBO Latino title, decisioning Omny Padilla last August, he will be travelling to his opponents country, as the fight headlines a card arranged by 8 Count Promotions in Tolima.

Morales is riding a nine-bout winning-streak, all in 2021, which earned him the 2021 UBO Accomplishment of the Year Award.

He will be a favourite against Jimenez, despite fighting in his opponents country, but he cant underestimate the experience of a man who has been in with world class opposition on numerous occasions.

In 2016 Jimenez travelled abroad himself, beating local man Chaozhong Xiong in a world title eliminator in China. Unfortunately for him, he was stopped by IBF World Champion Jose Argumedo six months later.

Morales (29) is hoping 2022 will be the year he can capitalize on his impressive run, secure his own shot at a world championship, and realize a dream by winning.

He cant look past Jimenez, but should he be victorious on January 21 he will be closer than ever to realizing his goal.
