Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight Champion Karel Horejsek, 17-13-3 (14), from the Czech Republic loves to fight.

He loves to fight so much that not only is he willing to take on anyone, anywhere on short notice, the epitome of a road-warrior, he also fights for free some times:

Besides campaigning as a very capable professional, he keeps himself active by fighting in the amateur ranks and even attempted to qualify for the up-coming Tokyo Olympics.

As a prize-fighter, he has fought some of the very best Europe has to offer, which explains the thirteen defeats on his record. He holds a draw against Adam Deines, who is currently scheduled to fight Artur Bertebiev for the WBC and IBF World titles, wins over prospects such as Matthias Goetz (4-0) and Tomi Tatham (11-1), and another draw with undefeated British hope Lennox Clarke (15-0).

He gave future world champions Rocky Fielding (25-1) and Sven Fornling (13-1) a tough time over the full distance, and only twice has he been stopped. Its fair to say that Horejsek has more than paid his dues in the ring.

So it was very much deserved when he was awarded a shot at the vacant UBO Inter-Continental title in December of 2019, in his home-town Kladno, fighting as the A-side against former UBO European titlist Ferenc Albert.

Only a few days after boxing as an amateur, Horejsek didn't let the opportunity pass him by, as he stopped the Hungarian in three rounds.

Karel Horejsek is a real asset to the sport, and despite being thirty-eight years old he will probably continue to entertain boxing fans for a while yet. Getting paid for it, or not.

After all, he just loves to fight!
