In
Millersville, Maryland on February 25, 2012,
Jose Felix understandably came full of
confidence that he could beat Jeter again and
started the fight fast and aggressive.
It turned
out to be an excellent fight, with Jeter, now
12-3-1 (9), scoring two knock-downs in the first
round, and also finding himself on the canvas
courtesy of a Felix right hand.
There
would be no more knock-downs, but the pace
remained fast despite things getting ugly at
times. Jeter did the better work, and deservedly
got his redemption, and the UBO title, by clear
unanimous decision.
Jeter
went on to also win a WBC regional title, as
well as the Virginia State title, and retired
with a 20-5-1 (14) record after losing a crack
at the Interim WBA World Middleweight title to
Chris Eubank Jr. in the fall of 2015.
He is now
a successful promoter, staging regular shows
mainly in Maryland and Virginia.
