In the
following years Manihuruk went on the road a
lot, mostly to Australia, where often lost to
home-town favorites after giving them his best
effort.
But he
also won fights in Indonesia, and on March 16,
2019 at the Balai Sarbini Convention Hall in
Jakarta he got a chance to win the UBO
Inter-Continental title, fighting out of the
home-corner for a change.
Manihuruk
was not about to let the opportunity pass him
by, as he boxed well to score a clear unanimous
decision over another veteran in former Thai
national champion Vachayan Khamon, also known as
Suor Carryboy.
Since
then Manihuruk has not boxed. A few planned
title-defenses has been scrapped for various
reasons, and 2020 never got off the ground for
him due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It
remains to be seen if he will return in 2021, or
if he chooses to finish his career at a high as
UBO Champion.
