Local heros Roy Tua Manihuruk and Moensaku Yor were victorious in Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) title fights on Saturday night (March 16) at the Balai Sarbini Convention Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Tua Manihuruk, a former three-time Indonesian national champion at Lightweight and Super Lightweight, won the vacant UBO Inter-Continental Super Lightweight title with a unanimous decision over tough Thai Vachayan Khamon.

The experienced Indonesian boxed well, while Khamon tried to unsettle him and never stopped fighting his chance. But after ten entertaining rounds, it was clear that Tua Manihuruk was the winner. Scores: 98-94, 98-95 and 97-94.

The new UBO Inter-Continental Champion improved his professional record to 26-20-2 (18), while Khamon travels back to Thailand at a misleading 19-30-3 (7). Having fought very tough opponents his entire career, the visitor is much better than his record suggests.

Oktavianus Moensaku Yor, best known in Indonesia as only Moensaku Yor, captured the vacant UBO International Super Bantamweight title in the co-feature, stopping former Thai national Featherweight Champion Artid Bamrungauea in round five.

It was an impressive display from “The Buldozer”, who never let his more seasoned foe get into any kind of rhythm, as he took his professional ledger to 11-6-1 (9). Bamrungauea drops to 32-28 (25).

Promoted by OSC Academy, the show was televised live by MNC Sports.
