Sandor Hiba New UBO European Middleweight Champion

Sandor Hiba from Hungary took home the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) European Middleweight title on Saturday (December 29) in the city of Pecs.

 
 

Hiba (now 5-0, 3 KOs) defeated compatriot Gergo Vari (22-22-1, 8 KOs) by split decision in the main event of a card promoted by Profibox-Promotion.

The title was recently declared vacant when then-champion Peter Kramer lost a fight for another organizations title.

After a very competitive fight, Judges Bulcsu Gabris and Tamas Sasvari both scored the fight 97-92 for Hiba, while judge Miklos Dori scored it 96-94 for Vari.
