Kiduku Shines In UBO Title Fight Victory

Twaha Kiduku won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Super Welterweight title on Saturday (September 29) at the Kinesi Football Stadium in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania.

 
 

The local boxer scored a land-slide unanimous decision over tough Zambia-based Congolese Sherif Kasongo, who came to fight but was out-worked and out-smarted by Kiduku.

Judges Agapeter Mnazareth, Robert Kasiga and Said Chaku scored the fight 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92 respectively. Referee was Anthony Ruta

Kiduku, who entered the fight as the reigning East & Central Africa Champion, improved his professional record to 13-3-1 (7). Kasongo travels back to Lusaka at 12-3 (6).

The fight was the main event of a show promoted by Kaike Promotions.
