UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

26-year-old undefeated Ukrainian Ihor Magurin will be in for his careers toughest test on Saturday January 20, when he fights for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Super Featherweight title.

Magurin (7-0-1, 3 KOs) will take on Panamanian warrior Barnie Arguelles (27) in one of the featured fights of a show promoted by Union Boxing Promotion at the Parkovy Convention Centre in Kiev.

The visitor, from the city of La Chorrera, brings a deceiving 11-7 (8) record, and has only lost to good opposition since turning professional in 2011. He travels to Ukraine with an advantage in power and experience.

For Magurin, who entered the paid ranks in July of 2015, this will be his first title fight. While he has already fought three unbeaten opponents, he will have to be at his best to prevent Arguelles from upsetting the apple-cart.

Also on the show will be former UBO World Super Bantamweight Champion Oleksandr Yegorov squaring off with Spaniard Cristian Rodriguez.
