Cameroonian national hero Hamza Issa is the new UBO
World welterweight champion.
Issa made short work of co-challenger Fredric Tripp of
France, stopping the visitor in round three on a
technical knockout in front of a massive crowd at the
Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
Issa, winning his second world title, improved his
ledger to 16-6-4 (7 knockouts), and Tripp dropped to
25-17 (8 knockouts).
The Universal Boxing Organization congratulates its
latest world champion, and look forward to Issa
representing the UBO with pride for years to come.
