Francis Cheka of Tanzania made quick work of challenger
Ramil Nadirov of Azerbaijan, retaining his UBO
Intercontinental middleweight title on a second round
technical knockout at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
Cheka, who improved his record to 17-6-1 (11), took the
initiative from the start and pummelled the visitor
mercilessly. Nadirov (9-6-1, 3 KOs) made it through the
first round, but his trainer Navai Kazimov didn’t allow
him to come out for the second and referee Bakari
Seleman officially called a halt to the bout.
The three judges at ringside were Anthony Ruta, Omari
Yazidu and Ally Champion. UBO supervisor Mr. Emmanuel
Mlundwa.
Promoter of the event was Best Man Promotion.
