Cabral beat
the count of referee Robert Velez, and came back
strong, turning the tide and had Sollano in
trouble after landing several hard punches.
It was
incredible action, which continued in round five.
Cabral slightly had the upper hand, but Sollano
remained dangerous and kept him on his toes.
Round six
was more back and fourth, and just as you thought
one of the boxers was about to gas out, he came
right back and landed significant punches.
However,
Cabral appeared to have more energy in a strong
round seven, but needed a time-out when Sollano
landed a hard but unintentional low-blow.
The fight
finished with a relatively
slow-paced
round eight,
compared to
the previous seven, but in most fights it would
have been considered action-packed.
After eight
amazing stanzas, judges Esther Lopez and Anthony
Romero both scored it 77-74, while judge Mark
Sanchez had it 76-75, all for Cristian Cabral, who
improved his record to 12-2-2 (5). Sollano drops
to 5-1 (2).
