July 2026 UBO Boxer Of The Month: Javan Buyu

With an explosive third round knockout of co-challenger Ramadhan Idd, Kenyan hot-shot Javan Buyu won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Lightweight title on July 25 in Nairobi.

  
 

The victory also secures him UBO Boxer of the Month honors for July, 2026, as he sees his undefeated record improve to 8-0 (5).


It was an impressive performance against a very good opponent, and Buyu showed that he is arguably the best up-and-coming boxer in Kenya at the moment.


Time will tell if he will be able to maximize his obvious potential, but for now he is UBO Inter-Continental champion and ready for even bigger tests.
