Alessio “The Hammer” Bisutti didn't break a sweat when he captured the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (Asia) Heavyweight title at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok on Sunday, October 6.

Now 9-0 (8), the Thailand-based Italian needed only twenty-seven seconds to dispatch of Gurkan Karadag (7-0, 7 KOs) from Turkey, who somewhat curiously went down from the first punch Bisutti landed.

The fight was the main event of FCC 7: Double Impact II, a historic event promoted by FCC Promotion in association with Highland Boxing Promotions, featuring a total of seven championship fights including five UBO title bouts.

Bisutti came out and threw a pawing jab, then threw a hooking jab which appeared to barely connect, but Karadag never the less went down on his back.

Bisutti clearly thought Karadag had only slipped, as did referee Worawuth Duankhao for a brief moment before starting to count.

Karadag got up and Duankhao stopped counting at eight to start the fight again, but Karadag turned away and made it clear that he did not want to continue.

It was very anticlimactic and unfortunate for Bisutti, who had trained hard and expected a tough challenge from the undefeated Turk.

But it was not to be, and the new champion could only smile in disbelief as he was announced the winner by technical knockout in the first round.

Impressively this is Bisutti´s sixth title victory in only nine bouts, having already won Thai national, Asian Boxing Federation, WBC and WBA belts.
