Bisutti clearly thought Karadag had only slipped,
as did referee Worawuth Duankhao for a brief
moment before starting to count.
Karadag got up and Duankhao stopped counting at
eight to start the fight again, but Karadag turned
away and made it clear that he did not want to
continue.
It was very anticlimactic and unfortunate for
Bisutti, who had trained hard and expected a tough
challenge from the undefeated Turk.
But it was not to be, and the new champion could
only smile in disbelief as he was announced the
winner by technical knockout in the first round.
Impressively this is Bisutti´s sixth title victory
in only nine bouts, having already won Thai
national, Asian Boxing Federation, WBC and WBA
belts.
