The newly-crowned UBO Continental (Asia) Light
Heavyweight champion is only 2-0 (2) in the paid
ranks, but ironically it is his few professional
bouts which earns him this honour.
He won the UBO title on August 17 when he
defeated Prachak Porkha (11-6) in Pathum Thani,
Thailand, showing maturity beyond his years by
breaking down and stopping the much more
experienced Thai in four rounds.
Going into a championship fight, and performing
well, after only one pro bout is not for
everyone, but Bassitov proved that, due to his
vast amateur experience, he is comfortable being
fast-tracked.
