World-class Southpaw Mykal “The Professor” Fox won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Welterweight title in Hanover, Maryland on Saturday night, July 20.

In one of the featured bouts of a show promoted by Jeter Promotions at the Live Casino & Hotel, Fox beat game Donald “Bulldog” Ward by unanimous decision.

The stylist from Upper Marlboro, Maryland prevailed by scores of 79-73, 80-72 and 80-72 from judges Howard Smith, Paul Wallace and Nicholas Chimienti.

Ward was not just there to make up the numbers, and fought his chance but was out-landed by Fox in what was a competitive and entertaining bout despite the wide scores.

Fox (28), whom most observers believed should have been WBA world champion when he was on the wrong end of a highly controversial decision against Gabriel Maestre in 2021, is now 23-4 (5).

Former American Boxing Federation (ABF) titlist Ward (34), who had only lost once in his last nine fights, a decision to current UBO world champion Emeka Nwokolo, drops to a misleading 18-13-2 (8).
