Michal Ryba made Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) history on Saturday night, June 8, when he became the first person to win four different UBO titles.

30-year-old southpaw Ryba added the vacant UBO Continental (Europe) Light Heavyweight title to his collection, when he defeated Albanian Edison Demaj by unanimous decision at the Sono in his home-town of Brno, Czech Republic.

Prior to that he had won the UBO East Europe title in May of 2022, while he captured the UBO International title in August of 2023. Three months later he picked up the UBO Inter-Continental crown.

Against Demaj (31), Ryba had to be on top of his game, and he was just a little bit more sharp and accurate against a good and tough opponent who had come to win.

The new UBO champion is now 21-11-1 (16) since turning professional in 2018. He has won nine of his last ten, only dropping a split decision to 25-2 Oscar Ahlin in Sweden last April.

Demaj, based in Germany and the reigning German champion, falls to 12-3-1 (6), and can without a doubt come back strong.

For Ryba. having won UBO titles at every level, the only thing missing to complete the set is now the world title.
