Current Undefeated Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Welterweight champion Bradley Townsend (16-0, 2 KOs) is not afraid of challenges.

Really a Super Lightweight, the man from Witney, Oxfordshire in the United Kingdom, had no problem moving up a weight class to fight hard-punching local man Anama Dotse (19-6, 18 KOs) for the UBO title last December 28 in Accra, Ghana.

A pro since 2017, this was not only Townsend´s first fight abroad, it was also his first title fight. Many boxers would have thought twice, even thrice, before going all the way to Africa for a fight in the opponents back-yard.

But Townsend jumped on the opportunity, and went on to stop Dotse in the third round. Impressive stuff, and a clear indication that there is much more to come from the 29-year-old Brit.

Only a few months later, on March 5, Townsend boxed in Accra again, and again he got rid of a local boxer inside the distance. This was a non-title fight, but it was another convincing performance.

Townsend was scheduled to battle fellow unbeaten Henry Turner (12-0, 4 KOs) for the WBC International Silver Super Lightweight title last month in London, but unfortunately Townsend had to pull out injured less than two weeks before the fight.

New big opportunities will undoubtedly come for Townsend, as he has shown time and time again that he is willing and ready to face anyone, anywhere, if the conditions are right.

A real champion!
