UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Romanian Marius “Black” Antonietti (13-5, 9 KOs) will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Middleweight title on May 5 in Tirana, Albania.

Last December he came out on the wrong end of a split decision against Venezuelan Yeizon Gonzalez, with the UBO Inter-Continental title at stake.

He felt he was hard done by in that fight, that he deserved the victory, and, besides one of the judges, there were ringsiders who agreed.

Now he gets a chance at redemption, and a second chance to wrap a UBO belt around his waist, fighting in one of the main bouts of OTR Boxing Night, a huge event staged at the Olympic Park in Tirana.

His opponent will be Edis Biberovic from Bosnia & Herzegovina, who brings an 8-7-1 (6) record, with victories in five of his last seven outings.

Antonietti had hoped that winning the Inter-Continental title against Gonzalez would bring him close to a shot at world honours, but he instead found himself pushed back in the queue.

Defeating Biberovic would at least get him on the right path again!
