UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

In what could be considered a visit to the “Last Chance Saloon” for both, Brazilians Fernando Luis “Cruel” Pinto and Luis Eduardo “Dudu” Souza will duke it out for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (South America) Super Welterweight title on March 16.

The potentially explosive make-or-break fight will headline a show promoted by Fagundes Promotions at the Clube Cassasp in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Pinto (9-3-1, 7 KOs) is a former UBO International and Inter-Continental champion, so if successful against Souza he will be adding a third UBO belt to his collection, which also includes WBC regional, American Boxing Federation and Brazilian national titles at both Welterweight and Super Welterweight.

While he has suffered a few unexpected setbacks since turning pro in 2016, he has also proven his worth by beating very good opponents such as Andre Luiz Suarez (9-2), Felipe Moledas (10-0) and Sergio Dos Santos Carvalho (13-0).

Souza (11-4-1, 11 KOs) is something of a do-or-die fighter, and has never gone the full distance in his paid career. Either he wins by stoppage, or he gets stopped himself, and this often makes for explosive and entertaining fights.

His four losses have come against good foes, and should he be able to defeat Pinto to win his first professional title it will by far be the highlight of his career to date.

Both boxers being thirty-eight years old, this is a major opportunity for them at a stage of their careers where a defeat could potentially be career-ending.

The stakes are high, the winner will continue as UBO Continental (South America) champion, and the loser will be left in no man´s land. Its Make or Break!
